Wingham Beef Week Success

On 12th May 2016, almost 200 students from 18 highschools participated in the Junior meat judging contest facilitated by the ICMJ committee and held in conjunction with the Wingham Beef Week. Wingham Beef Exports hosted the contest where students judged and answered questions about the quality and yield aspects of 2 beef carcase classes and a class of rump primals. They were also required to accurately identify 15 retail cuts and wholesale primals. In a close contest with only 22 points splitting 1st and 3rd placed teams, St Josephs Aberdeen were the overall winning Junior Meat Judging team.
