MLA Career Opportunities: 

Manager- Stakeholder Engagement

The Manager – Stakeholder Engagement will design and deliver MLA’s stakeholder engagement strategy as well as gather and provide insight regarding stakeholder issues and needs so that our programs remain responsive and relevant to the stakeholder environment.

This role will be based in either our North Sydney or Brisbane office.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Design and develop MLA’s stakeholder engagement strategy in collaboration with MLA business units and assist in the development of strategic stakeholder partnerships.
  • Design and delivery of an effective events and sponsorship program to increase industry awareness and adoption of business-enhancing research, development and marketing programs.
  • Design and delivery of industry leadership and advocacy capacity building programs.
  • Provision of MLA’s membership services to assist in the maintenance and growth of MLA’s membership base.
  • Management of MLA’s CRM, including the delivery of enhancements, the embedding of its use across MLA and integration with the levy payer register.
  • Sourcing and provision of stakeholder insights to MLA leadership and relevant staff to inform strategy, organisational behaviour, decision making and communication

Operations Manager- Sheep Genetics

The Operations Manager is responsible for realising the vision of Sheep Genetics leadership for the Australian sheep industry through development and implementation of strategies, tools and services to increase the rate of genetic improvement for commercially relevant traits in the national sheep flock (wool and meat).

Other key components of the role include:

The key responsibility is to manage the development and continuous improvement of Sheep Genetics, to achieve goals defined in the business plan (financial, industry adoption and genetic gain) and to lead the Sheep Genetics team, as well as interacting with external service providers, to achieve uptake of Sheep Genetics technology.

The Operations Manager – Sheep Genetics, contributes to planning and implementation of relevant projects in wool, lamb and sheep meat production research that enhance the goal of genetic improvement in the Australian sheep industry, including, but not limited to the National Livestock Genetics Consortium, Sheep CRC, sheep genomics and commercialisation, research and adoption activities.

The Project Manager for Meat Supply Chain will lead and deliver critical business projects, working end to end for the Woolworths Food Group. You will also ensure the relevant business needs of stakeholders are met and aligns to vision and ambitions for the Group.

This is a Business focused Project Management role, not traditional IT. Responsibilities include:

  • Communicate with stakeholders in Meat Supply Chain (buyers, farmers, producers, growers, suppliers)
  • Deliver high quality outcomes, within managed budget and agreed milestones
  • Embed project deliverables into BAU, and ensure sustainability
  • Identify key areas of risk and develop continuous improvement initiatives and influence critical paths as required
  • Follow project methodology and governance as per agreed approach
  • Develop project, budgets and forecasting, managing project costs
  • Navigate and work across complex work environment and teams to deliver outcomes
  • Manage business resources or project resources as required
  • Correct stakeholder engagement, with minimal escalations from stakeholders to Leader
  • Provide input into Delivery Office governance forums and project/program updates
