Our Purpose

The purpose of the ICMJ program has always been to attract graduates and young professionals into the red meat industry. This has certainly been successful with alumnae either having been employed or currently employed by the following companies:

Outcomes

ICMJ runs one tertiary event each year- held at CSU Wagga Wagga; one industry event- held at CQU Rockhampton; and assists with three schools competitions- held in Wingham, Scone and Gympie.

In 2022, the Australian ICMJ workshop and contest will be held at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga, NSW from Tuesday 5th July – Sunday 9th July. In addition to a competition, the 2022 program will include: Industry guest speakers, Interactive workshops, Hands on training and Careers Expo.

Following another successful event in 2021, 2022 will see the third Northern ICMJ event held at CQU and Teys Rockhampton, from 20th to 23rd April 2022. This event includes workshops and industry seminars, interactive classes and a meat judging competition and industry and careers expo.
