Our Purpose

The purpose of the ICMJ program has always been to attract graduates into the red meat industry. This has certainly been successful with alumnae either having been employed or currently employed by the following companies:

Outcomes

ICMJ runs one tertiary competition each year- held at CSU Wagga Wagga; one industry event and competition- held in CQU Rockhampton; and three schools competitions- held in Wingham, Scone and Gympie.

In 2020, the Australian ICMJ workshop and contest will be held at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga, NSW from Tuesday 7th July – Sunday 12th July. In addition to the competition, the 2019 program will include: Industry guest speakers, Interactive workshops, Hands on training and Careers Expo.

2020 will also see the second Northern ICMJ event held at CQU and Teys Rockhampton, from the 15th to the 18th April. This event includes workshops and industry seminars, interactive classes and a meat judging competition and careers expo.
