We are committed to helping young people begin a career in the meat industry. We advertise industry job opportunities here and also hold a Careers Expo as part of our Tertiary ICMJ competition in Wagga each year to ensure graduates have the best opportunity to network with potential employers in the meat industry.
ICMJ will once again be hosting our careers events in 2023, including our very popular Careers Expo held as part of our ICMJ Competition at Wagga, supported by Gradlink. This event aims to showcase the breadth of careers across the industry, and to make connections between employers and our University student participants.
We have also expanded this include the Northern Industry expo as part of our Northern ICMJ conference at Rockhampton. Through this event at our conference we facilitate networking between those working in industry and also connect businesses attendees who may be seeking employment opportunities in the industry.
Companies who have attended the careers and industry expos in recent years include: Agribusiness banks; rural retailers; veterinary practices; State and Federal agriculture departments; pastoral companies; meat marketing companies; meat processors; next generation organisations; animal health companies and R&D organisations.
