15 Jun Three-day careers feast at ICMJ online expo
The Intercollegiate Meat Judging Association (ICMJ) digital careers expo has grown in scope, with activities now planned across three days starting with an industry advice panel on Wednesday July 8. ICMJ Careers Expo coordinator Rozzie O’Reilly said an expanded program was a result of the incredible demand for information from eager university students. The new program would provide multiple opportunities for students to obtain career advice and to connect with prospective employers with one-on-one interviews, Ms O’Reilly said. “The careers expos are immensely popular features of ICMJ’s annual conferences at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, and CQUniversity in Rockhampton, and we’ve tried to replicate as many elements of those as we can in this year’s online format,” she said.
As a result of coronavirus restrictions forcing the cancellation of its conferences and workshops, ICMJ has shifted to digital delivery to ensure students and young industry professionals can continue to access meat science training and networking opportunities.
