04 Aug Rimfire to offer hot tips to capitalise at ICMJ Careers Fair
Agriculture graduates and young meat industry professionals seeking to kickstart their career can get the jump on the competition at a webinar next week from leading agribusiness recruiter Nigel Crawley.
Mr Crawley, from Rimfire Resources, will provide his top tips on ‘Making the Most out of Networking Opportunities’ at an ICMJ webinar to be held at 9am (AEST) on Tuesday August 10, immediately before the ICMJ Virtual Careers Fair meetings commence at 10am.
Mr Crawley’s short presentation will cover both what to do and what not to do when the next generation of meat and livestock industry leaders hit the jobs market and individual meetings with recruiters from the 37 agribusiness companies taking part in the ICMJ Virtual Careers Fair.
“The webinar is designed to help you get the most out of your interaction online with companies attending the ICMJ Virtual Careers Fair, and to get the tips and tricks to make the most out of your networking activities,” Mr Crawley said.
ICMJ is a not-for-profit association which aims to inspire and develop future professionals in the global red meat industry, and to build the pool of intelligent young meat industry representatives who will give the Australian meat industry the expertise to compete internationally.
Mr Crawley will be speaking from his experiences both as a former Ag Science graduate from Dookie and Agribusiness post-graduate from Monash, as well as his time as a professional recruiter servicing leading Australian agribusinesses.
After eight years working across corporate agribusiness in the dairy, rural retail and machinery sectors in Australia, North America and the UK, Mr Crawley established Rimfire Resources in 2001 together with Mick Hay.
ICMJ Australia president Peter McGilchrist said the webinar was not to be missed if the next crop of agribusiness professionals were serious about making an impression in the next job interview.
“With 15 years in Australian and New Zealand agribusiness recruitment, Nigel’s expertise includes recruiting graduate to management roles across dairy, machinery, retail, food processing and manufacturing, logistics and supply chain, and commodity trading and agribusiness investment,” Dr McGilchrist said.
“You really cannot find anyone in Australian agribusiness better qualified to guide university graduates and young people just starting out in their career on how to take their next big step in the agricultural workforce.”
